10 Carries | 51 Yards | 2 Touchdowns | 11 Receptions | 151 Yards | 2 Touchdowns
The reigning Prep Redzone Oklahoma Player Of The Year was at it again during Bixby’s rout of Sand Springs. We say it all the time but Bixby running back [player_tooltip player_id="38679" first="Braylin" last="Presley"] seems to show up and play at his best in Bixby’s biggest games. They had a game against a 4th ranked Sand Springs squad and Presley torched the Sandites. He finished with 51 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Then he also caught 11 passes for just over 150 yards and two more touchdowns.
[player_tooltip player_id="38707" first="Dontierre" last="Fisher"] - 2022 Running Back - Checotah
24 Carries | 331 Yards | 5 Touchdowns
It’s been a tough year for Checotah as they got out of the gate with a brutal non-district schedule and just a tough schedule early on. However, they got in the win column the other night and a big reason behind that was their star senior running back [player_tooltip player_id="38707" first="Dontierre" last="Fisher"]. The senior standout finished with 331 yards and five touchdowns and he did the majority of his damage in the fourth quarter to make sure that Checotah would get out of week seven with a win.
[player_tooltip player_id="57158" first="Emmanuel" last="Crawford"] - 2023 Running Back - Grove
16 Carries | 154 Yards | 5 Touchdowns
Another week, another big time performance from Grove junior running back [player_tooltip player_id="57158" first="Emmanuel" last="Crawford"]. It shouldn’t be surprising at this point that Crawford put up some monster numbers as he’s been on the Top Performer list nearly every single week. In their latest win, Crawford ran for north of 150 yards and five touchdowns. Crawford is on the very short list for top players in the state after his performance so far this season.
[player_tooltip player_id="157514" first="Eric" last="Virgil"] - 2023 Running Back - Hilldale
20 Carries | 200 Yards | 5 Touchdowns
After back to back losses to Poteau and Broken Bow, Hilldale has looked good in the last two weeks as they’ve blown out their opponents and have bounced back from the early district losses. In their latest blowout victory, junior running back [player_tooltip player_id="157514" first="Eric" last="Virgil"] couldn’t be contained and had another outstanding night carrying the ball. He finished with 200 yards and five touchdowns on 20 carries. It was a big night for Virgil and the Hornets, who have now won two in a row.
[player_tooltip player_id="91049" first="Erik" last="McCarty"] - 2023 Running Back - McAlester
14 Carries | 143 Yards | 2 Touchdowns | 71 Yard Touchdown Pass
It was the game of the week in week seven as #1 McAlester traveled to #4 Coweta in a 5A showdown of unbeaten teams. McAlester prevailed 33-2 and while the main story was the McAlester defense absolutely dominating Coweta from start to finish, the Buffaloes also saw their star junior running back carry them on offense. [player_tooltip player_id="91049" first="Erik" last="McCarty"] finished with nearly 150 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. And on the first play of the fourth quarter, McCarty tossed a 71 yard touchdown pass that ended up being the dagger in Coweta.

25 Carries | 262 Yards | 3 Touchdowns | 85 Yard Kick Return Touchdown
In yet another marquee showdown in Class 5A, it was undefeated Lawton MacArthur traveling to face Noble in a battle of top ten teams. The game ended up being a shootout as both teams did not struggle to score points. However, Noble had no answer for MacArthur breakout star [player_tooltip player_id="219244" first="Isaiah" last="Gray"] at the running back position. He finished with well over 250 yards and three touchdowns and he also took a kick back 85 yards for an additional score.
[player_tooltip player_id="47955" first="Jaiden" last="Carroll"] - 2023 Running Back - Jenks
22 Carries | 179 Yards | 3 Touchdowns | 2 Receptions | 33 Yards
Jenks traveled to Edmond to take on Santa Fe in a rematch of last year’s state championship game and the Trojans prevailed over the Wolves once again. The offense was steady behind the running of junior running back [player_tooltip player_id="47955" first="Jaiden" last="Carroll"]. The junior finished with nearly 180 yards on the ground with three touchdowns. He also caught a pair of passes for 33 yards and finished with well over 200 total yards in a victory that puts Jenks in the driver’s seat for the district crown.
[player_tooltip player_id="193015" first="Kaleb" last="Barnes"] - 2022 Running Back - Oklahoma Christian School
26 Carries | 219 Yards | 4 Touchdowns
Oklahoma Christian remained undefeated on the season with a huge district win over Luther in a game that ended up being a bit of a shootout. We already mentioned senior standout [player_tooltip player_id="38734" first="Collin" last="Matteson"] as one of the top performers for his ability on offense and defense. OCS also benefitted from their breakout star at running back with [player_tooltip player_id="193015" first="Kaleb" last="Barnes"], who finished with over 200 yards and four touchdowns in the victory over Luther on Friday night.
[player_tooltip player_id="38672" first="Maurion" last="Horn"] - 2022 Running Back - Broken Arrow
21 Carries | 266 Yards | 2 Touchdowns
Broken Arrow rolled all over Yukon and now have a showdown with Edmond Santa Fe looming with massive district implications. In their win over Yukon, star senior [player_tooltip player_id="38672" first="Maurion" last="Horn"], a Texas Tech commit, showed why he’s one of the best playmakers in Oklahoma when he ran for 266 yards and two touchdowns in Broken Arrow’s victory over the Millers. When Horn plays like he played on Thursday, the Tigers are going to be tough to slow down.
[player_tooltip player_id="219245" first="Nick" last="Moore"] - 2022 Running Back - Harrah
32 Carries | 260 Yards | 3 Touchdowns
Harrah has had an up and down season this year but one of the biggest wins came in week seven when they knocked off Ada. Leading the way for the Panthers was senior running back [player_tooltip player_id="219245" first="Nick" last="Moore"], who had a career night. Moore has led the Panther offense throughout the season but he was a workhorse against Ada. He finished with 260 yards and three touchdowns on 32 carries in the big win that sets up Harrah to capture a rare playoff spot.
