Nick Trumble – Addison – RB – 6’0″ 175 lbs
Trumble had a big game on Friday. He’s able to run over most defenders and he’s going to try laying a hit just as often as he gets hit. He was Addison’s leading rusher on Friday and helped carry them to a win. He put up 115-yards and 3 TDs on the night. Addison won 52-34 on the night and Trumble had a lot to do with it. He looked good and he’s a fun strong back to watch.
Cowen Keller – Jonesville – QB – 6’0″ 185 lbs
Keller had a huge night and he lead Jonesville to an easy win on Friday. Everything he was doing was working on Friday and they couldn’t slow him down. He found a rhythm early and never lost it. He put up 232 passing yards and 4 TDs and then added another TD on the ground. Jonesville easily won 48-16 and Keller keeps rolling.
Derrick Walker – Lumen Christi – RB – 5’10” 175 lbs
Walker is a very shifty back and is able to make guys miss on every play. He’s the heart and soul of the offense and when he’s on fire they can’t be stopped. He’s also great out of the backfield and has very soft hands. He can run a full route tree as well. He put up 159 rushing yards and 2 TDs on the night as they cruised to an easy win.
Andrew Cheney – Vandercook – QB – 5’10” 160 lbs
Cheney just had one of those nights where everything clicked. He was all over the defense and killing them with his legs just as much as his arm. Once he found his groove in the passing game the game was over. He took Vadercook up and down the field on every drive in the 2nd QTR. He had 189-yards through the air with 2 TDs and added 121-yards on the ground with another pair of TDs as they easily won 64-34.
Riley Kennedy – Stockbridge – RB – 6’1″ 165 lbs
Kennedy had a huge game on the ground. The running game was working early so they never stopped using it. They hammered the A and B gaps all night long as Kennedy was feasting. He’s a perfect fit for the scheme as he makes his one cut and hits the gas. He put up 160-yards on the ground and added 2 TDs to help win over Charles on Friday.
