Standout Performers
Oxford Sal Vackaro – With the season and his high school football career on the line, Vackaro had the performance of a lifetime. Vackaro rushed for over 250 yards with 3 touchdowns and even recovered a game-sealing onside kick against a great Clarkston defense. Vackaro displayed elite vision with very nice power, often running people over while still keeping his feet moving. Hats off to Vackaro for a performance of a lifetime that led Oxford to the huge upset!
Adams QB Parker Picot – This guy is criminally underrated, having one of the best seasons out of anyone in the state. The Alabama baseball commit tore the Lapeer defense apart. I don’t have specific stats, but from the information I could gather, he had an absolutely exceptional performance including a 68-yard rushing TD where he broke 7 tackles. Adams is criminally underrated and they face Oxford and Sal Vackaro this Friday @ Adams.
West Catholic T/DT Kyle Kloska Kyle Kloska 6'2" | 295 lbs | OL Grand Rapids West Catholic | 2022 MI – One of the best offensive linemen in the state, Kloska protected his quarterback’s blind side exceptionally well against a great Comstock Park D line. Largely because of his offensive play, the passing and running game hit on all cylinders leading West Catholic to a 42-0 victory. Kloska also plugged up the middle for the defense, securing many tackles showing more power and agility.
Haslett DT Keith Whitfield – I watched Whitfield play in person and he was an absolute DOG. Producing tackles by the dozen, Whitfield dominated the Pinckney offensive line in what was a sloppy, rainy night for the pirate offense. Without Whitfield, the score would have been much closer. This guy was a game-changer that looks to have a repeat performance against Mason.
GR Catholic Central C Will Smith – It was pancake city for the 6’4 255lb prospect. The Belding defensive line didn’t stand a chance against Smith and the CC offense was able to do whatever they wanted as a result. The highlight video showcases this dominance in grand fashion.
