Carlisle Indians:
Talon Borders 5’7 140 lbs. ℅ 22. SS/RB. Borders was the Bell Cow for Carlisle Under the Lights Thursday Night. He totaled 14 Carries for 178 yards and 2 Touchdowns. The Team totaled 348 yards Rushing on 48 Attempts. Borders use his Breakaway Speed to Evade tacklers on his way to the endzone on each of his touchdown runs. He also seemed to get Stronger running the football as the game continued.
Alex Couch 6’1 275 lbs. ℅ 22. DT/OG. Couch and the rest of the Offensive line were giving the Backs lanes to run through all night long. It was a dominant performance as Carlisle racked up 348 rushing yards on 48 attempts. The average Yard Per Carry was a whopping 7.25 yards per carry! Couch Mauled the Miami East Defensive Line Routinely.
Kole Larison 5’9 155 lbs. ℅ 22. QB/OLB. Larison Contributed heavily to the Carlisle Rushing Attack. He finished with 16 Attempts for 95 yards rushing and 1 Touchdown. He was also, 1-4 Passing for 24 Yards and 1 Touchdown. Larison is an Option Quarterback that’s not afraid to run the ball.
Brice Naylor 6’1 162 lbs. ℅ 22. FB/MLB. Naylor Stepped up to the challenge Thursday night. He had 17 Rushing Attempts for 80 yards and 1 Touchdown. His YPC was 4.7. Naylor is a solid Third Rushing Option for the Indians.
Defensively For Carlisle:
Cruz Allison ℅ 24. LB. Allison was all over the field for the Indians Thursday Night. From the Linebacker Position, He accounted for 6.5 Tackles, 3 Solo, 7 Assisted Tkl’s and, 2.5 Tackles for Loss. He’s a young player but is already a solid contributor at the Varsity level. He should be an interesting prospect to watch the season!
Standouts for Miami East:
Austin Francis 5’11 157 lbs. ℅ 22. RB/MLB/LS. Francis Played admirably Thursday Night but, He was somewhat of a One Man Show. He accounted for 151 Total yards. He was 6-14 for 72 yards 1 Touchdown and 1 Interception Passing. Rushing he had 35 Attempts for 79 Yards. He clearly is the leader and Focal Point of the Offense. However, Carlisle’s Defense was ready for the challenge and held him to 2.7 Yards Per Carry.
