On Sunday, we hosted our first-ever Prep Redzone Oklahoma Showcase at Owasso High School. Not only were the facilities impressive, but so was the talent that showed up to participate. The camp was littered with prospects who project to play from the division one level, all the way to division three. We had some blazing forty-yard dash times and fierce competition during 1 on 1’s. With that being said, here were the top quarterbacks, running backs, and wide receivers from Sunday’s showcase.

QB’s
[player_tooltip player_id="154215" first="Jackson" last="Bergt"], 6’2, 195, New Castle, 2024
A swift-footed pocket passer with exceptional touch on his deep ball. Bergt was beyond steady during 1 on 1’s and was able to easily work all three parts of the field. In my eyes, he was one of the top quarterbacks in attendance, despite only being a freshman.
[player_tooltip player_id="54349" first="Blaze" last="Berlowitz"], 6’3, 180, Cushing, 2023
A strong timing thrower who excels as an intermediate thrower. Berlowitz has good size at 6’3, 180, and overall solid athletic ability. He did a good job stepping up into the pocket when faced by a rusher in 1 on 1’s and was able to drive the ball with some serious zip behind it.
[player_tooltip player_id="38800" first="Kye" last="Davis"], 6’1, 195, Christian Heritage, 2023
On tape, Davis is as smooth as it gets on RPO’s and can get the ball out of his hand in an instant. His mechanics were consistent all afternoon, and he did a good job putting some air under the post route, giving his target the ability to run underneath it. He showed great rhythm in his footwork and constantly hit his targets in stride.
[player_tooltip player_id="155329" first="Bryce" last="Perkins"], 6’1, 165, Van Buren, (AR), 2024
Perkins was outstanding on the lower levels as a freshman and was as good as advertised in person. On tape, Perkins is outstanding off-platform and can easily improvise when under duress. On Sunday, he showed a real live arm and twitchy hips to get some velocity behind his ball.
[player_tooltip player_id="112472" first="Karsen" last="Williams"], 6’1, 180, Anadarko, 2022
Of all the quarterbacks in attendance, Williams may have taken the cake for the strongest arm. Time after time, he dropped the vertical ball right into the breadbasket during 1 on 1’s and was in sync with every wideout he targeted during routes on air. Karsen showed a lightning-quick release and was able to make throws out of awkward arm slots when faced against a rusher.
Other Names Who Stood Out
[player_tooltip player_id="150088" first="Reed" last="Dequasie"], 6’2, 185, Carl Albert, 2023
[player_tooltip player_id="115217" first="Camden" last="McCrary"], 6’1, 170, Bixby, 2022

RB’s
[player_tooltip player_id="99770" first="Clint" last="Campbell"], 6’1, 205, McLoud, 2023
Clint could have a future at both running back or linebacker. He actually even went through linebacker individual drills and showed loose hips & good lateral agility. He showed some solid wheels, too, clocking a 4.66 40 yard dash, and I fully expect him to be in the 4.5 range by this time next year. I chose to leave him under the running back category based on how good he was there as a sophomore for McLoud.
[player_tooltip player_id="57161" first="Malek" last="Murphy"], 6’, 200, Chickasha, 2023
A powerful back who showed on tape he can easily run through arm tackles. I was really impressed in person by his ability to change direction and sheer burst once he touched the ball. Murphy was solid during 1 on 1’s and displayed some soft hands out of the backfield.
[player_tooltip player_id="155875" first="River" last="Faulkner"], 5’11, 190, Heritage Hall, 2023
Faulkner was cooking on Saturday, running a 4.50 40 yard dash time. This is a dynamic scatback who was dominant during the 1 on 1 portion of the event. River used pure speed and nifty route running to overwhelm linebackers trying to guard him. I think this young man has a ton of potential and could have a monster junior season.

WR’s
Bill Shaw, 5’10, 170, Central, 2023
The fastest camper award would have gone to Mr. Shaw, as he ran a blistering 4.44 40 yard dash. Bill is another kid who could play two different positions. On Sunday, he displayed soft hands, compact footwork, and sudden cutting ability. Keep an eye on this kid as he recently transferred and could make a huge impact for Central.
[player_tooltip player_id="38702" first="Hakelan" last="Carney"], 6’, 180, Owasso, 2022
To me, Carney was the most polished wide receiver we had at the entire showcase. He’s such a smooth route runner who can drop his hips, stop on a dime and work back to the football. He showed natural build-up speed in his routes and strong hands to defeat press. Carney is a major sleeper in my eyes and should be on the radar of many more FBS schools.
[player_tooltip player_id="38715" first="Camden" last="Crooks"], 6’1, 190, Cushing, 2023
A sturdy deep ball tracker with good leaping ability. Crooks clocked a 4.65 40 yard dash and a 4.38 pro agility this past Sunday. He showed the ability to adjust and make tough catches, along with outstanding versatility playing on the inside and outside.
[player_tooltip player_id="61147" first="JaRay" last="Austin"], 5’10, 170, Owasso, 2022
This is a shifty slot receiver who was downright nasty during the 1 on 1 portion of the event. Austin is an explosive route runner who knows how to stem defensive backs. He showed dynamic cuts and the ability to win on contested balls. The speed is there, too, clocking a 4.59 40 yard dash.
Keonta Rushing, 6’1, 160, Booker T. Washington, 2023
Rushing was consistent all afternoon and excelled in the individual portion and 1 on 1 period. He’s a natural hands catcher who understands the importance of working back to his quarterback. He’s a deceptive route runner who can lull defensive backs to sleep with his route tempo.
Reagan Palmer, 6’, 170, Bridgecreek, 2024
Reagan was outstanding as a freshman on varsity and did not disappoint at our event. Palmer showed a big catch radius to go along with the ability to work all three levels of the field. He easily defeated both press and off coverage & stacked defenders after doing so. He’s still got three more years of varsity ball, and the best is yet to come.
Other Names Who Stood Out
[player_tooltip player_id="129400" first="Zain" last="Prater"], 5’11, 170, Norman North, 2024
Ronnie Thomas Jr., 5’11, 180, Owasso, 2022
