The class of 2023 has already been on the clock as some of the brightest prospects have already committed to power five programs. Ohio has some of the best blue-chip prospects in the class of 2023, and we will show you the top prospect from each region of the state. Let’s dive in, shall we?

<h2><strong>Northwest Ohio:</strong></h2>

<h4>Name: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="34499" first="Luke" last="Montgomery"] - OL/DL</strong></h4>
<h4>High school: <b>Findlay</b></h4>
<h4>Class: <strong>2023</strong></h4>
<h4>Height: <strong>6’5</strong></h4>
<h4>Weight: <strong>265lbs</strong></h4>
<em><strong>Scouting Notes</strong></em>:
Luke is a dominant force on the football field. Just a few days ago, he was offered by The University of Michigan. Montgomery has the talent to play at any college in the country, and he is just getting started. Luke focuses each offseason on getting his body in the best possible physical shape because he plays both sides of the ball. I really like Luke on the defensive side, but I believe he has NFL talent playing Tackle down the road.
<ul>
<li>Physical at point of attack</li>
<li>Athletic and quick</li>
<li>He wants to impose his will and does</li>
</ul>

<h2><strong>Northeast Ohio: </strong></h2>

<h4>Name: <strong>Brenan Vernon - DL</strong></h4>
<h4>High school: <b>Mentor</b></h4>
<h4>Class: <strong>2023</strong></h4>
<h4>Height: <strong>6’5</strong></h4>
<h4>Weight: <strong>260lbs</strong></h4>
<em><strong>Scouting Notes</strong></em>:
Vernon is a blue-chip defensive end and has shown his abilities since he got to high school. Vernon earned offers from Ohio State and Tennessee this fall after another season of performing at a high level. Vernon has a high motor and has the ability to add more weight to his frame. I expect Brenan to stay on the defensive side and will develop into a talented DE.
<ul>
<li>High Motor</li>
<li>Use hands well</li>
<li>"Grown man" strength</li>
<li>Good IQ</li>
</ul>

<h2><strong>Central Ohio:</strong></h2>
<div dir="ltr">
<h4>Name: <b>[player_tooltip player_id="34495" first="Alex" last="Styles"] - ATH</b></h4>
<h4>High school: <strong>Pickerington Central</strong></h4>
<h4>Class: <strong>2023</strong></h4>
<h4>Height: <strong>6’4</strong></h4>
<h4>Weight: <strong>205lbs</strong></h4>
<em><strong>Scouting Notes</strong></em>:
Styles is known for making big plays on ESPN week one of the high school football season in 2020. Alex "Sonny" Styles play football like a veteran and have a high IQ for a youngster in the secondary. He has the ability to break on the release of the QB and track it into his hand with the best of them. He is just as dominant in the run game as he tends to explode to the football with good leverage.
<ul>
<li>Excellent Ball Skills</li>
<li>Moves well for size</li>
<li>Always in the right place</li>
<li>Sneaky athletic</li>

<h2><strong>Southeast Ohio:</strong></h2>
<div dir="ltr">
<h4>Name: <b>[player_tooltip player_id="34492" first="Trevor" last="Carter"] </b></h4>
<h4>High school: <strong>Ironton</strong></h4>
<h4>Class: <strong>2023</strong></h4>
<h4>Height: <strong>6’2</strong></h4>
<h4>Weight: <strong>19</strong><strong>5lbs</strong></h4>
<em><strong>Scouting Notes</strong></em>:
Carter had the pleasure of spending two seasons with arguably one of the best players to come out of Ohio in [player_tooltip player_id="34181" first="Reid" last="Carrico"]. Carter sure did benefit from being in good company because the buzz for Carter to be apart of elite college programs has followed. Carter has participated in two state title games as a sophomore and both times fell to NE Ohio rival in Kirkland. Carter will have more upside at the next level on the defensive side of the ball.
<ul>
<li>Heavy Hitter</li>
<li>Good ball skills</li>
<li>Very Strong</li>
<li>Well-conditioned</li>

<h2><strong> Southwest Ohio: </strong></h2>
<h4>Name: <b>[player_tooltip player_id="34498" first="Anthony" last="Brown"]</b></h4>
<h4>High school: <strong>Springfield</strong></h4>
<h4>Class: <strong>2023</strong></h4>
<h4>Height: <strong>5’10</strong></h4>
<h4>Weight: <strong>170</strong><strong>lbs</strong></h4>
<em><strong>Scouting Notes</strong></em>:
The speedy and electrifying super sophomore WR hit the ground running in 2020. With help from his partner in crime [player_tooltip player_id="34392" first="Te’Sean" last="Smoot"], this duo gave many teams fits all season long. Brown has the ability to be a power 5 WR with his skill set. Brown’s recruitment should heat up soon as his film and name continue to circulate in college football programs. First-team all-state talent for the next two seasons is my prediction in his near future. The kid is a baller!
<ul>
<li>Clean Route Runner</li>
<li>Can make plays after the catch</li>
<li>Elusive with the ball</li>
<li>Good Speed</li>
