Transfer News: Buri and Theobald to Brookings (SD)

STEWARTVILLE-- Good things come in pairs. Pairs of shoes, pairs of socks (unless your me and just grab two socks and go), and pairs of prospects heading to greener pastures are a nice touch too. The first pair we heard of before the rumblings of the MSHSL deciding to move football to early Spring, started when top 15 prospects, [player_tooltip player_id="18032" first="Dorian" last="Singer"] and [player_tooltip player_id="18039" first="Michael" last="Olowo"] made a move to Pinnacle HS (AZ) to improve their recruiting stock better to play for a nationwide known powerhouse in the Pioneers and to "put Minnesota on the map." The second pair we just learned about tonight comes from Stewartville, where two prospects in our top 300 list in the Class of 2021 in RB [player_tooltip player_id="18038" first="Josh" last="Buri"] (#21) and OL/DL [player_tooltip player_id="18133" first="Parker" last="Theobald"] (#125) have made the transfer to a Midwest state, and high school that is playing high school football this fall, Brookings High School in South Dakota. The Brookings Bobcats will be heavily impacted by this move, as they were runner ups in 11B last season and look to get back to the state championship again this year after a defeating loss to Pierre in the state championship game. MaxPreps now shows Buri and Theobald added to the Brookings Bobcats roster, which makes it hard to believe that their transfer is not final.
