He has good speed and athleticism to match up with wide receivers. Then, when the ball is thrown in his direction, he is able to get his hands on the ball by creating pass breakups. He also shows a good ability to make tackles in the open field. Thomas is a good defensive back who has excellent skills.

Zaire Thomas Zaire Thomas 5'11" | 165 lbs | ATH Imani Christian Academy | 2027 State PA is a good defensive back prospect in the 2026 class. He does an outstanding job in coverage. He is equally as good in man-to-man coverage as in zone coverage. Thomas has good ball skills and when the ball is thrown in his direction he does a good job getting his hands on the ball. Thomas also did a nice job on special teams by helping be a key blocker on returns. Thomas has all the tools of an elite defensive back.
