Hammond was the second best passer in the pro day drills on day two despite having the difficult task of going first. He completed 9 consecutive passes during the 7on7 portion of the day and showed he can put the ball in the perfect places for the receivers to catch it.

He wasn’t the highest-profile quarterback at the event and some scouts consider his performance a surprise. Texas Tech may be getting an under the radar steal in Hammond.
