No position has been more consistent for producing top talent at the quarterback position than the Lone Star State. The Class of 2024 had four heavy hitters at the quarterback position that have star power. These four signal callers have competed in the Elite 11 Regional Showcase and punched their ticket to Los Angeles for the Finals.
Hawkins has all the tools that a franchise quarterback possesses. He has the arm talent to make all the throws on the route tree, he has superb touch on his deep ball and he carves up defenses like a surgeon with his accuracy in the short to intermediate areas. Michael is the top dual threat quarterback in the country and he is a lethal weapon when he runs in the open field. Hawkins has the skill set tailor made to win the Elite 11 competition.

Lagway is one of the most physically gifted players in the class of 2024 regardless of position. He stands tall in the pocket, he has a strong platform when he sets up to deliver a pass and he engages his hip to get extra torque on his throws. DJ can make throws from multiple platforms and his ability to throw on the move with pinpoint accuracy are traits the make his game special. Lagway has the arm strength to spray the field and complete any pass on the route tree, which enables him to fit the football into small coverage windows routinely. DJ is a passer first but when breaks containment to run, he is as elite as the come as a ball carrier. Lagway’s game will fit right in at the Elite 11 Competition and look for him to put on a show in Cali.

Hammond has the skill set that has had college programs from around the country seeking out the Hutto star on the recruiting trail. Will has lean stout frame, he sets up to throw with a strong base, when sets his feet he drives his hip with his shoulders square to his target and his sound technique enables him to throw lasers to his targets. Hammond’s most impressive trait, is his ability to make pinpoint throws on the move, he lets it rip and he understands how to put the football on his target in rhythm. Will is a dangerous weapon in the run game, showing off the elite speed to make a house call for six, just put the ball in his hands. Hammond heads into the Elite 11 Finals as one the players to watch who has the goods to take home the title.

Hejny is a dynamic playmaker with the football in his hands, he makes throws into tight windows with pinpoint accuracy and his has great pocket awareness. Hauss has the arm talent to complete every throw on the route tree, he has the skill set make throws on the hoof and he has elite ball placement. Fitting the football into tight coverage and finding holes in the defense are traits that stick out in his game. Hejny is one of the top dual threat quarterbacks in the country and he morphs into a lethal weapon when he breaks containment into the open field and he can hit the defense for a quick six from anywhere on the football field. Hauss heads into the Elite 11 as one the top names to keep an eye on with chance to bring more championship hardware to Titletown.
