To wrap up our top five defensive backs in the class of 2024 in the state of Kentucky, I have Wick Dotson Wick Dotson 5'10" | 190 lbs | DB Bowling Green | 2024 State KY . Dotson is coming off a strong junior year in which he finished with 70 tackles, two tackles for loss, five interceptions, and one fumble recovery returned for a touchdown. Wick is a true ballhawk at safety, showing the ability to read the quarterback and break on the ball with perfect timing to come away with the interception. When the ball is thrown short, he has shown the ability to come downhill in a hurry to make the tackle before the receiver can turn up the field. Dotson is also very reliable against the run, showing the ability to fill the lane and make tackles in the open field. Wick doesn’t currently hold any offers but I expect some to come his way soon as he has received some college interest and has the talent to play somewhere at the next level.

Wick was one of the more physically aggressive prospects in the entire camp. The 2024 DB prospect from Bowling Green is skilled at keeping his ground when defending against the pass, and being able to accurately anticipate where the receiver is going to change directions on a given route. At the camp, Wick was able to show how effective he is at deflecting incoming passes and being able to get his hands towards the ball every time the receivers get ahold of the ball. No matter how accurate the throw is, Wick seems to always contest the reception to force a deflection or even a fumble. Like many other people have been saying about him, I think Wick is due for a big senior season at Bowling Green High School.

He finished this past season with 70 tackles, two tackles for loss, and five interceptions. Dotson lines up at safety and does a great job of reading the quarterback and breaking on the ball with perfect timing to make a play. When the ball is thrown short, he shows the ability to close on the receiver quickly and knock the ball loose. Against the run, Dotson does a great job of filling the lane to provide support and is a very reliable open field tackler. While he hasn’t received any official offers yet, I expect some to come his way soon as he has received some college interest and has the talent to play at the next level.
