Wickware is someone we highlighted this spring and someone I got to see in 7 on 7s. He looked good then, and that’s starting to translate to Fridays. He’s got good range, good instincts, and good tackling mechanics. He’s good in coverage, has good footwork, and has already earned a player of the game once this year. I like the way all of those traits are showing up when the lights come on, and he’s starting to back up what we saw from him in the spring.

Wickware is someone I saw at the Battle of the Bluegrass State in March, and he looked good. He can line up inside or outside, and there’s a natural fluidity to the way he moves that stands out. He closes on the football well, stays balanced through the catch, and competes when it’s in the air. He wasn’t in the age group I was covering, but he played hard and fought for the ball when it was in the air. He never looked content just being in position. He wanted to come away with it.

Wickware is a someone I’ve seen in 7-on-7 settings, and he looks the part. He’s a smooth athlete who moves well and doesn’t seem to force things. He’s got good hands, and go gets the ball. He has decent length and uses it well when the ball is in the air. He’s capable of winning contested catches and does a nice job catching through traffic without getting distracted by defenders around him. Some receivers look uncomfortable when the window gets tight. Wickware seems to get stronger when there’s a crowd around the football.

Again, the Top-15 Wide Receivers are listed alphabetically by first name, but Ayden Wickware Ayden Wickware 6'0" | 160 lbs | WR/DB Bowling Green | 2029 KY is the first of four Bowling Green Wide Receivers listed in the Top-15 Wide Receivers in Kentucky’s 2029 class. A speedster that routinely burned DBs at the middle school level. A dangerous creator after the catch too.

My final notable ATH to watch in the class of 2029 in the state of Kentucky is Ayden Wickware Ayden Wickware 6'0" | 160 lbs | WR/DB Bowling Green | 2029 KY . Wickware is at his best on the outside at receiver on offense. He has shown the ability to use his speed to his advantage in the deep passing game, using it to create separation from opposing defensive backs with ease. Ayden is also very impressive after the catch, showing the ability to use his speed and elusiveness in the open field to turn short passes into big gains at any given moment. He can also play defensive back if asked to do so. Wickware will be a player to keep an eye on as he joins a Bowling Green program that has produced a lot of talent skilled players throughout their history.
