Reed just looks the part the moment you see him on the field. He has a good frame, good athleticism, and seems to succeed no matter where he’s lined up. Offensively, he can catch the football, break tackles after the catch, and is more than willing to do the dirty work as a blocker. Defensively, he can tackle, force fumbles, and get into the backfield to create pressure. There really aren’t many holes in his game this early. He put up 500 yards and 10 TDs and 41 solo tackles and 12.5 TFLs in year 1. He checks a lot of boxes already, and I can easily see him becoming one of the better recruits in this class.

One of the more intriguing prospects that made the 8th Grade Kentucky Future Stars team as a D-Linemen this year is Bowling Green’s Izek Reed. Reed was the Player of the Year in 2023, but after a reclass year and some physical changes, he find himself somewhere between athletic D-Linemen and Linebacker. He’s exactly the type of kid who can break out, on this stage.
