About Wayshawn
Expert Analysis
Paul Gregorian | Prep Redzone Scout
Parker had one of the most productive afternoons of any player across the section, and got going early and often. The Washington State commit erupted for 145 yards on 6 touches, adding another long score in the first half. He holds other offers from Washington, Sacramento State, UNLV and San Jose State. Against Rocklin in their Northern California bowl game, the pacers will continue to be a major problem for defenses as Grant has no shortage of talented weapons on both sides of the ball.

Parker’s a gifted athlete whose recruitment has been building this summer with new offers coming in from San Jose State, Washington, and Sacramento State in addition to his early offer from UNLV. At 6’0” 185 lbs. he’s an impact player in all three phases that shows great burst/acceleration out of his explosive lateral cuts. Possesses a wide skillset that allows him to be effective from all over the field playing fast and physical. As a ball carrier, love his ability to be elusive in the short area in combination with his running strength and contact balance. Extremely tough to tackle once in space. Natural pass catcher with plus ball skills to track/adjust to ball flight. Defensively, he flies around and plays relentless in pursuit. He’s smart and anticipates to quickly break on the ball and close space. Expect to see the same big play ability and explosiveness as a senior after transferring to Grant.
