As fellow Prep Redzone scout Caleb Sisk previously stated, Hughes is a weapon on the perimeter for Etowah. Hughes explosiveness off the line and twitchiness to change direction in his routes is impressive. Not only does he have the speed to take the top off of secondaries, but he understands how to manipulate defenders with his eyes and pad level on double moves. Not only does he have the ability exploit defenses on the shot plays, but he can also create his own yards on the short routes with the ability to break tackles and gain yards after the catch. He also plays a crucial role on the defensive side of the ball, bolstering his team’s secondary at corner.

Walker Hughes Walker Hughes 6'2" | 183 lbs | WR Etowah | 2027 GA is entering his final season of high school football and his final season with the Etowah program. This is a season that will be viewed as do-or-die, but one thing that I would confirm is that Hughes is the star on this football team. He averaged nearly 80 yards through receptions on average, but there is far more work to be done, as he will hope to make his way through the schedule and win more games with this program. Keep an eye out for this standout prospect.
