earned playing time for a Sabercat squad that made a run to the 6A-2 quarterfinals. Now, Southmoore is moving up to 6A-1 so the competition is going to ratchet up in a major way and it’s easy to anticipate that Hayes will have an expanded role in the Southmoore offense moving forward. You throw on the tape and you see a player that did the most of his damage in the quick screen game. The Sabercats would get the ball out to him and he did a good job after the catch, following his blocks and attacking defenses. We’re looking forward to seeing Hayes showcase more routes in 2026 and become a bigger part of their offense. He’s going to be a match-up problem with his length and the Sabercats will need that as they bump back up to 6A-1 football.
