Expert Analysis
Jared Luginbill | Prep Redzone Scout
Yharbrough is a playmaker on both sides of the football. At this point I like him more on the defensive side of the ball where he lines up at cornerback. His combination of length and fluidity athletically are really impressive. He has strong straight-line speed. His hips are loose and his transition from backpedal to turn and run his strong considering his length. You can tell he’s still growing into his young body and as he gets stronger and more explosive, he’s going to be a player that opposing teams will have to account for. Playing at a school like Toledo Central Catholic he will have a great opportunity to sharpen his skills versus a schedule full of talented teams. Yharbrough currently holds P4 offers from Cincinnati, Kentucky, and Purdue.

Troy is another player who fits either side of the ball because his athleticism. I like Yharbrough’s combination of size and athleticism is a tough cover to deal with for opposing defenses. Yharbough has fluid hips and is a smooth route runner. With his size and length, he is able to outmaneuver defenders and win contested catches.

Troy Yharbrough is an example of why young athletes, such as him as a Class of 2030 prospect, need to camp this summer. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Class of 2030 athlete for Toledo Central Catholic picked up his first Power 4 offer from Cincinnati. Ohio, Toledo, and Miami-Ohio have all extended offers. Expect him to develop into a major, top target as his career takes off this fall.
