I’m not sure what his stat sheet looked like by the end of the game but I really liked how Thornton performed and what he showed me for the future. This junior safety was aggressive from start to finish, especially in run support where he made several physical tackles, including several around the line of scrimmage. Thornton is beginning to come into his own, meaning he has taken his game to another level and placed himself on the map as a potential college guy. I have to do more scouting with the Blaze safety but I really liked what I’ve seen this year from Thornton and how he performed versus the Red Hawks.
