The Texas commit showed out for his junior season, gaining the attention from many people. He went into the season on a mission and he did not disappoint. Owens arm talent is one of the best in the area, with the ability to fit passes into tight windows and effortlessly get it down the field. At 6’5, Owens has little to no problem seeing the field, and can hit his targets where they can only get it. Owens showed good footwork, climbing the pocket and getting out when necessary, and more importantly keeping his eyes down the field. He showed his strength in play action, rolling out and getting his shoulders turned, then ripping the ball to his open targets. Owens finished his junior season passing for 3,057 yards and 34 touchdowns.
