Next up is Trey Alexander Trey Alexander 5'10" | 200 lbs | RB Winslow | 2028 State NJ , who makes the move from Williamstown to Winslow. And immediately, this transfer keeps a familiar trend alive — Winslow continues to stockpile two-way athletes who can change games in multiple phases.
However, with the amount of talent already on that roster, it feels clear that Trey will step in as the featured rusher.
And that’s a big deal.
At 5’10”, nearly 200 pounds, Trey combines speed and explosiveness with real physicality. He doesn’t just outrun defenders — he runs through them. He brings excellent contact balance, finishes through arm tackles, and consistently creates yards after contact. In addition, his burst through the hole forces defenses to respect every carry.
Furthermore, his athleticism translates to both sides of the ball. Winslow values versatility, and Trey fits that mold perfectly. Still, if he becomes the primary ball carrier in that offense, his production could jump significantly.
He’s already one of the more explosive athletes in South Jersey — and frankly, in the entire state. As a 2028 prospect, he holds offers from Temple, Pitt, and several other Division I programs. That alone tells you how evaluators view his upside.
Now, with this move to Winslow, his exposure increases. His opportunities increase. And most importantly, his ceiling rises.
Expect Trey Alexander Trey Alexander 5'10" | 200 lbs | RB Winslow | 2028 State NJ ‘s recruitment to accelerate once coaches see him operate in this system — especially if he dominates as a feature back while continuing to flash two-way ability.
This move positions him for a major breakout.

Trey Alexander Trey Alexander 5'10" | 200 lbs | RB Winslow | 2028 State NJ is one of the most explosive young running backs in New Jersey. In just 10 games as a sophomore, he finished with 849 all-purpose yards and nine touchdowns, showing big-play ability every time he touched the ball.
Explosiveness separates him. He’s a smooth athlete with sudden burst, and he hits the hole with precision. There’s very little wasted motion in his runs, which stands out for a young back. At 5’10”, 195 pounds, he already carries the size many college programs look for.
Alexander also brings value on defense. As a linebacker, he totaled 55 tackles, added an interception, blocked a punt, forced a fumble, and broke up two passes. That two-way impact speaks to his toughness and overall athletic profile.
He currently holds offers from Pitt and Syracuse, but this feels like the offseason where his recruitment takes off. With more eyes on him and camp season ahead, Alexander is positioned to gain the attention his talent warrants.

Trey Alexander Trey Alexander 5'10" | 200 lbs | RB Winslow | 2028 State NJ is already turning heads—and he hasn’t even hit his sophomore year. The Williamstown running back is one of the rare freshmen in New Jersey who’s earning offers this early, and it’s easy to see why. His speed jumps off the screen.
He’s explosive in the open field, but what sets him apart is how that explosiveness stays intact through sharp cuts and lateral movement. Trey’s jump cuts are deadly, and he keeps accelerating even as he weaves through traffic. His vision, burst, and elusiveness make him a nightmare in one-on-one situations.
This summer, his stock has skyrocketed. He’s already landed offers from Pitt and Syracuse, and more are likely on the way. Williamstown has a loaded young core, and Trey might just be the one leading the charge.

One of the other leading rushers from the 2028 class, Trey Alexander Trey Alexander 5'10" | 200 lbs | RB Winslow | 2028 State NJ has started to build some buzz as he has impressed thus far with the opportunities he’s been given. Trey is a true do-it-all back, and I believe is destined to become a household name within the state. Trey has a little bit of everything you’re looking for in a lead ball carrier. With good size as a freshman (5’9″ and 170lb), Trey is not one to shy away from contact but on the contrary is the one delivering the hit to defenders. Trey’s running style is not strictly as a bruiser, but also as an elusive back that shines in the open field. Trey has the lateral quickness and vision to react instantaneously to incoming defenders and avoid the tackle. He has been extremely successful thus far this season, as he has found the end zone 3 times and has just under 400 offensive yards. Keep a close eye on Trey as he develops into one of the best backs in the state.

One of the most complete backs in New Jersey for the 2028 class at this point. Very good size and strength for a pre-high school back. Hits the hole hard and is a chore for the opposing defense to bring down. More of a North/South runner, but has excellent lateral movement as well. Only takes a few strides to get to full speed. Has interest from multiple private high schools.
