he was just an incoming freshman to Haddon Heights who had yet to play a down. Him and his brother lit it up at that camp as defensive linemen. Fast forward, both are now at Winslow doing great things. Cinque, now a linebacker, matches the running back very well, tackling both with leverage and wrapping well. Matthews has a burst that is clear on film, and accordingly, can beat opponents to the sideline and also set an edge. His background as an edge player is also utilized. On tape we see Winslow deploy Matthews both off the edge and in the middle as a traditional mike, who can get down hill very effectively to plug gaps. More times than not, however, Matthews is often sent or manned up.

quietly put together a strong season. Despite missing four games due to injury, he finished with 79 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, and seven sacks. That production speaks for itself.
What stands out most is his football IQ. Matthews’ diagnoses plays quickly and consistently puts himself in the proper position. You don’t often see young linebackers process that fast, but he does it naturally.
He’s an all-around defender. He may not dominate one area, but he does everything well. He tackles cleanly in space, shows solid explosiveness, and adds value on special teams.
If Matthews stays healthy, camp season could be a springboard. He’s trending toward being one of Winslow’s top defensive players next year.

Que Matthews had strong showing at the PSR combine as an edge rusher. Despite that he’s severely undersized for the position, he was able to show off some solid pass rush moves to get solid win in the one on one portion of camp. No one knows how Que’s body will develop through his high school career, but were seeing even at the high school level that the body types for edge rushers can look different from what we traditionally think that its supposed to be. Especially if you can generate pressure on the quarterback consistently. Matthews had solid day overall.
