Dochnal was a LB who is new to the Prep Redzone community, and a player who attended his first showcase and made a good first impression in front of the scouts and coaches in Warwick. Dochnal showed solid combine numbers including a speedy 4.56 Pro Shuttle time.

Dochnal stays square, and does an excellent job keeping his balance with his eyes in the backfield. He moves well laterally, and showcases good footwork and breaks in and out of cuts. I liked his ability in pass coverage as it is raw but it has potential. This is where he should look to improve. He has a strong frame, and showcases good size, which can allow him to move to the EDGE on pass rush snaps.

Timothy Dochal is an MLB and RB who will be entering his junior season with strong instincts. His ability to play downhill, use power, and be a force at the POA was there. Dochnal is an LB that was excellent at making tackles in space, especially against RBs swinging out in the pass game. Offensively, he runs with power and fire. In like fashion, he will power through the LOS at the RB spot. Driving through multiple tackles, especially at the A and B gaps, popped in short yardage.

He showed strong movement skills in space, consistently chopping his feet while mirroring running backs and reacting quickly to their movements. Tim’s ability to turn the corner and accelerate stood out throughout the event, allowing him to pursue ball carriers effectively and force plays toward the sideline. Combined with his speed and control in space, he proved to be a very active and reliable defender all day long.

Background: Dochnal is part of a talented LB group, and is a new player to the radar, and one who attended the pRZNY showcases this past weekend. He plays for Chaminade High School in the Catholic League.

Measurables: Dochnal stands at 5’10” 195-Pounds, giving him versatility with his frame. he can play at both the LB,EDGE positions, and should look to add more weight and reach 205-210 to fill put his frame.

Evaluation: Dochnal displays good vision, and can mainly play as a MLB. He is isn’t the best in coverage, and this is where he should look to improve his skills. he has solid speed, and he can run hashmark to hashmark to make tackles. His vision is good, and he can read a QB, impacting the run aspect and passing aspect of the game. Dochnal is a growing player who can continue putting in the work and improving on the field.
