Big Walnut Class of 2028 recruit Thomas Minor dominated in the team’s opener on both sides of the ball. Lining up at fullback, he can create vertical push for BW’s ground game and is a very good block finisher. On defense, he was constantly around the ball, flashing good closing speed and a high motor with ability to bend and shed. He had five tackles, four tackles for loss and two sacks per Bucknuts analyst Garrick Hodge.

Thomas is one of many big hitters in Central Ohio’s trenches. He’s got great get-off and can use his power to get through his matchup. He also showcases finesse against bigger offensive linemen, and with his athleticism and length, he can cover tons of ground in the run game. Thomas is a complete prospect and should warrant further interest from powerful P4 programs.

Thomas was a recent addition to our latest 2028 rankings update. He is ranked highly for a reason and has been one of the most dominant interior defensive linemen in all of Central Ohio. He’s got an explosive release and uses his size and power to push his blocker back. He’s got vicious hands and swipes past with finesse. He defends the run well. He’s quick enough to get outside if the run gets off the tackle. He’s one of the most challenging matchups for any offensive lineman in the area, and I am excited to see how he performs in the playoffs.
