Stumpf was active tonight, and did his job well. Big Walnut utilized his legs in a heavy quarterback rollout passing game. He got through his reads every passing down and generally maximized on what he could get downfield. His ball looked live and sharp. I’m excited to see what he can accomplish this season.

Stumpf is coming off a state semi-final appearance and is someone I see having a big 2025. Stumpf has a list of college camps upcoming that he will attend, and has been a baller on the basketball court with his AAU team. He likes to attack zone defense with tight-window throws and has the ball velocity to get away with it. He can make off-platform throws down the field and offers excellent efficiency at the quarterback position.

Had a big sophomore season – 151/216 for 2,120 total yards and 20 touchdowns. Has a good release, looks calm under duress, is a decent runner with good pocket mobility. Prototypical size/height; tall, could add more weight. Name to monitor.

Big Walnut had a finished a fantastic 2024 season with a playoff run to the state semifinals. Stumpf was the starting signal caller on a young but talented offense. He did a great job of operating the Golden Eagles offense and making big plays when they needed. He threw for 2,100 yards and 22 touchdowns on the season.
At 6’4 Eli has the height and vision to survey the field. He’s calm under pressure and does shows good footwork in the pocket. He has the arm talent to make all of the throws and the athleticism to make plays with his legs when he they need him too. Stumpf has all the traits to continue to rise through the rankings.
