But from every number that we’ve been able to find, Victory Christian linebacker Teyton Chandler Teyton Chandler 6'1" | 200 lbs | LB Victory Christian | 2024 State OK is the tackling king of Oklahoma high school football. Chandler shattered the school record for career tackles and there’s a belief that he broke the state record as well. Chandler is a very fun player to watch because the standout never really slows down. He’s very similar to the first three linebackers where he is always near the ball. NSU has a new coaching staff and landing Chandler will be huge for their turnaround.

Whenever you’re talking about statistical records at the high school level, there’s never going to be a complete record of that. But what records we do have, Victory Christian senior Teyton Chandler Teyton Chandler 6'1" | 200 lbs | LB Victory Christian | 2024 State OK is sitting at the top of the list for more tackles in a career. Chandler has been one of the top linebackers in the state for a while now and the production has backed that up. He’s been dominating opposing offenses since very early on in his high school career and earlier this season, he eclipsed what was the record for most tackles in a career. Chandler and the Conquerors have a massive game on Friday night against Kiefer to decide the district championship. We’re looking forward to seeing what kind of impact he can have on that game and where he ends up at the next level.

Class 2A-7 has quickly become one of our favorite districts to watch and now they start beating up on each other. #5 Victory Christian will host #10 Beggs on Friday night. This district features four teams all ranked in the top ten of our Class 2A rankings. And this match-up between the Conquerors and Demons has been one of the better head to head clashes in Class 2A over the last few seasons. Victory Christian senior linebacker Teyton Chandler Teyton Chandler 6'1" | 200 lbs | LB Victory Christian | 2024 State OK has also been one of the top linebackers in the state over the last few seasons and he backed that up in the last few weeks. Chandler has well over 500 tackles in his career and based on all the records we could find for tackles, Chandler now holds the career record in Oklahoma for most tackles. Now, that’s a very unofficial record but it goes without saying, the Victory standout is an absolute tackling machine. The Conquerors will need that production from him on Friday night as they try to slow down Beggs and their D1 running back. It’s easier said than done but Chandler will be up for the task.

The Victory Christian defense is headlined by the return of 2024 standout Teyton Chandler Teyton Chandler 6'1" | 200 lbs | LB Victory Christian | 2024 State OK at the linebacker position. Chandler was a Preseason All State 1st Team selection and when the Conquerors take the field on Friday, he will more than likely break the school record for tackles. He has been a tackling machine over the last three seasons and he will have a chance to be near the very top in terms of state history. Like Doctor, Chandler also excels in other sports for Victory. He is a state qualifier in wrestling and track. But when we look at the state’s 2024 class for linebackers, there are few better than Chandler. There are a few prospects in this class that are underrated and should be on more college radars and Chandler is one of them. He checks every single box for what you want at the next level.

2024 linebacker Teyton Chandler Teyton Chandler 6'1" | 200 lbs | LB Victory Christian | 2024 State OK has been one of the top linebackers in the Tulsa area for over two years now. We mentioned the Conquerors had a linebacker that was getting ready to shatter the career school record. Better known around Tulsa as “Tot”, Chandler is an absolute tackling machine. Last season, he had well over 200 tackles on the season and should set the new mark early on this fall. It could come as early as the first game of the season. Chandler has emerged as a 2024 linebacker prospect that colleges are starting to focus on. You can’t argue with the production he’s had over the last few seasons. He has also been an offseason star, qualifying for state in wrestling as well as becoming a state qualifier in track during the spring.

Similar to Hardy, Victory Christian linebacker Teyton Chandler Teyton Chandler 6'1" | 200 lbs | LB Victory Christian | 2024 State OK is going to be one of the top returning linebackers this season in terms of production. Chandler is going to absolutely shatter the Victory Christian career record for tackles. Chandler should be breaking the record in the first game of the season and then everything after that is going to take the record to the next level. He’s probably going to set the bar so high that it might not be touched again. Chandler is an incredibly versatile linebacker and like Hardy, it doesn’t make much sense to us why more schools aren’t going after the Victory Christian standout. Not only is Chandler one of the best linebackers in the state, he has versatility to his game to play on offense as a tight end and then he is also a standout in wrestling and track. Chandler is a fantastic athlete and he’s been on our radar when it comes to the state’s 2024 class for several years now.

Chandler plays running back and middle linebacker for Victory Christian in the class of 2024.  On the defensive side of the ball, Chandler has a nose for the football and is always around the ball carrier.  He is good at coming through the middle of the offensive lineman and puts himself in a good position.  He comes to balance well on the ball carrier and finishes the play.  Chandler is quick to pull the trigger on sprint out and bootlegs to his side.  I do like Chandler’s playmaking ability as he makes his read and then attacks.  At running back, he does a good job of catching the ball out of the backfield.  He is a versatile player as he can line up in the backfield, slot, or even H back to utilize his athleticism.

Arguably the most productive linebacker in the state’s 2024 class is Victory Christian’s Teyton Chandler Teyton Chandler 6'1" | 200 lbs | LB Victory Christian | 2024 State OK after he racked up big numbers on the defensive side of the ball and earned All State honors. Chandler is a tackling machine and just knows how to get to the ball. It’s impressive to see what he’s already done in the first few seasons of his career and while we don’t know what the career records look like at Victory Christian, it’s hard to imagine Chandler won’t be at the top for career tackles in school history. The Conquerors have also used the athletic Chandler on the offensive side of the ball but we like him as a middle or inside linebacker at the next level. Based on his size and production, Chandler will probably break out as a prospect this summer and fall and he’s going to see his recruitment get very busy. Chandler is another prospect we’ve watched for a little over a year now.

You can make the argument that our final linebacker prospect should be ranked much higher considering the production on the field. There aren’t too many linebackers in the state’s 2024 class that have been more productive than Victory Christian standout Teyton Chandler Teyton Chandler 6'1" | 200 lbs | LB Victory Christian | 2024 State OK . Better known as “Tot”, Chandler has been outstanding since his freshman season. Chandler has also shown that he can turn around and play a little offense as well. But it’s what he does on defense that has caught our eyes. Chandler is a dominating linebacker that flies all over the field from sideline to sideline. We think that it’s only a matter of time before Chandler’s recruitment starts taking off because you can’t argue with the production or the measurables that Chandler has physically.

One of the more underrated games in the state this week comes in Class 2A as Victory Christian travels to Beggs in a battle of 2-2 teams. These two teams are 2-2 but have played tough non-district schedules. Beggs bounced back from back to back losses with a dominating win last week. One of the biggest match-ups in this game will be the Beggs rushing attack going up against the Victory Christian front seven. Leading that Victory unit is junior linebacker Teyton Chandler Teyton Chandler 6'1" | 200 lbs | LB Victory Christian | 2024 State OK , who is a linebacker on the rise within the 2024 class. Chandler is incredibly experienced and leads a Victory defense that will need to be playing at their best to slow down Beggs 2024 running back Red Martel Red Martel 5'11" | 195 lbs | RB Beggs | 2024 State OK . Like Chandler, Martel is one of the best at his position within the 2024 class. This game had massive playoff implications last year and will once again this fall.
