Stat Line: 21 rushes, 224 rushing yards, four touchdowns
Remember how I mentioned that Sully was going to be a 2026 RB you were going to need to circle in 11AA on my Preseason All-State Team? He proved why last week against 11AAA Rapid City Stevens, going for four big touchdowns against the Raiders defense. Sully rushed for nearly 11 yards per carry and watching back the tape their were several chunk plays that saw him break free. Shoutout to the Scoopers offenisve linemen as Sully had some solid lanes to run thru, but I was impressed with the enhanced amount of yards he gained after contact as I would love to see what that number was last week in Rapid City. He has seen growth in his senior season with how fluid he has become with his inside runs that fly up the A-gap as Sully certainly is showing more durability on tape thus far this season as a senior backer still waiting on his first offer!

The 5’10 now 195 pounder from Sturgis Brown is a 2026 running back that surprises me hasn’t gotten next-level attention yet in this class, but one that I feel should make his mark for the Scoopers in the 2025 season. Sully in my eyes has more instinctive chnage of direction than he gets credit for as the amount of times as a junior where he hit his cut and got to the open field with ease. Another under the radar skillset Sully has is his power he can generate thru contact, as I feel in the 2025 season we are going to see more of it being that he’s added good frame since last season. He’s one with no offers, that should catch some attention from Dakotas schools this fall.

Sully was one of my favorite 2026 Stockrisers when we updated our rankings last time as one that the change of direction and burst comes out at the ideal time to gain seperation quickly on his junior tape to again, show off a finisher that hammers his transition with his vision early. Yet another running back that can operate in tight windows, but amps up on tape with his durability getting yards after contact in my eyes. Sully is a tailback that can turn a nothing play for some running backs into something with his explosiveness within the inside box which puts him as RB4 but another one that could be trending upwards by next upate.

Talk about a young man that has really risen as a rankings riser in this 2026 class, as we meet Sturgis Brown running back

who is up if I recall 30-40 spots from our last 2026 update. Sully is a firecracker in the Scoopers backfield and has excellent vision that he utilzes early on the first level and it sets a steady tone for the rest of his runs. The vision also is huge for me when evaluating running backs especially ones that excel like Sully does in very tight windows and I love his suddenness using his burst which shows another gear of speed when he sees the open field. I also love this young man’s durability after contact as the 5’10 180 pound West River tailback is having a mosnter season thus far and yet again, another that spent his Spring with us at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Combine. Sully was one running back I had circled prior to camp that I had to get the first live evaluation on and it graded out well in my eyes. Sully showed off athletically with his instinct that I saw with his agility with his cuts come thru with high fluidity. Sully was the top running back in testing with his L-Drill (7.22) in which he dominated with consistency within the group. He also was a prospect that was almost spot on with his pre-combine measureables to what he came into camp with. This kid’s instinct also transitioned well too in Indy Drills, as Sully seemed like a RB that picked up new or revised his skillsets quickly which is a contribution to his growing football IQ. He certainly is one I will be tracking heavily this fall and is due to likely be a big stockriser in our next 2026 rankings update.

- Sully is another prospect that excels with his athletic mobility in the open field and is developing more agility over time with what he shows us on tape.
- He also impresses me with his solid vision on the edges of the inside box as Sully sees the field with wide vision around the edges as a 2026 prospect that shows off as an east to west runner.
- I also like the instinct that Sully plays with as a pass-catcher as you could tell the deeper you get into his tape that he certainly could be a stockriser on our 2026 rankings by the next update.
