whos currently our DL9 in the 2027 South Dakota class, but could rise up. The 6’0 253 pounder ran an impressive 5.1 40-yard dash which is great for that size at the defensive end position. Dion was one in Brookings that I liked how his hands have improved since the end of the fall season as he’s got the upside to progress further as a downhill rusher that has room to develop more agile twitch with his lateral movement.

Dion is a defensive end that I surely like the production he showed in his game tape, as another one I like what I should see on his junior tape as a whole. The now 6’3 230 pounder, has quick and strong power generation off the snap and one with every block he gets off or every player he gets his hands on, you can quickly evaluate the motor he has. He shows off what looks like a high football IQ on both ends of the trenches. Sturgus has persistency getting guys to the next-level and Dion sure looks like one that’s next to play on Saturdays.
