Another top-performer from our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase last Sunday in Aberdeen, was our QB3 in the 2027 class and one that I had in my projected top performers prior to the showcase, Rapid City Stevens quarterback Austin Flohr Austin Flohr 6'0" | 185 lbs | QB Rapid City Stevens | 2027 State SD . Austin was one of my favorite quarterbacks on the day when it came down to his ball placement with his receivers, as I caught wind of plenty of throws that were not only right on the money for advancement on his wide receiver’s routes, but he also threw some of the some most balanced throws when it came to touch that I saw within the quarterback group. Another skillset that I caught from Austin, was his poise on Sunday as I have watched a handful of Raiders games throughout the last couple of seasons and seeing what I saw in Aberdeen, I don’t think Austin gets enough credit for how poised he is when working inside a cleaner pocket. He will certainly go up to my QB2 spot after getting this live eval last Sunday in our upcoming 2027 South Dakota rankings.

Our QB3 in the South Dakota 2027 class Austin Flohr Austin Flohr 6'0" | 185 lbs | QB Rapid City Stevens | 2027 State SD of Rapid City Stevens is another quarterback I will have my eyes on Sunday in Aberdeen. Austin is another one that took steps forward in his junor season with the Raiders especially with his throws on intermediate and deep routes showing off solid balance with his touch throws and surely took a step up with his ball placement. He got quicker too with reading the defense and finding his wide receivers in stride as he is another one that could be a potential QB MVP coming from this group.

The 6’1 160 pounder out of Rapid City Stevens has surely taken a leap upwards based on watching his poise in the pocket from his most recent junior tape that came out. He also has amped up his speed with his progressions, which is evident and consistently see thru out his tape. Austin’s ability to fit his throws in tight windows as also grown as one of the top quarterbacks in the 2027 class that the Rapid City area has to offer.

The top ranked 2027 quarterback out of Rapid City is another target out of Rapid City Stevens, in Austin Flohr Austin Flohr 6'0" | 185 lbs | QB Rapid City Stevens | 2027 State SD who as a sophomore saw varsity reps for the Raiders. Austin shows off great arm strength as I feel on tape, there is more gas in the tank to throw on that fire as he develops over the coming years. The reps I watched last year from Austin in the Raiders, show off the constance of precision on those intermediate routes especially. With Rapid City Stevens being super young last year in 11AAA, I would expect Austin’s rapport with his receivers to grow some great chemistry year to year heading into the 2025 season.
