I like Raye as a hybrid linebacker. He’s athletic enough to drop and play tight in coverage. What I like most is his physicality. His versatility is going to post big problems for opposing offenses as they’re going to need to know where he is at all times. He’s a bit of a late bloomer but he’s really starting to see his recruiting process get hot. Simeon is got in schools from P4’s like Louisville, Michigan State, and Pitt as well as several G5 school during this contact period.

Raye is a defensive back with great size. I really like him up on the line of scrimmage in press man where he can use his size, length, and strength to knock receivers off their routes. He matches up well with bigger receivers. He also has the athleticism to mirror and turn and run with smaller speed receivers.

Simeon Raye Simeon Raye 6'3" | 190 lbs | DB Lakota East | 2027 State OH is a starting wide receiver and defensive back for Lakota East. The 6-foot-2, 172-pound prospect has great height, size and length for the position. He is primarily a defender on special teams – punt and kickoff coverage – right now, and within his role he displays good speed downfield and takes great angles to the ball. Keep an eye on his development.
