Expert Analysis

Father Judge’s standout offensive lineman drops his name into the mix. We didn’t highlight Sean Broderick’s first Division One offer back in April, an offer coming from Long Island University. The young man didn’t stop working and has a clear plan to keep eyes on him this offseason. Broderick made sure to visit Bonner-Prendie when Saint Francis came down to Philly. It’s quite evident that Broderick impressed the SFU coaching staff, as the young man came away with his second Division One scholarship offer. On June 10th, Broderick will be at Army WP, a great connection should be had there. Yale, Fordham, and LIU are coming later in the Summer.

Sean Broderick Jr. Sean Broderick Jr. 6'3" | 250 lbs | OL Father Judge | 2024 State PA picked up his first FCS offer out of Long Island University about a month or so ago. That might open up the floodgates in terms of opportunity for the Father Judge lineman. Two-way capable trenchman that fits the size thresholds many colleges keep. Wrestler, good GPA, solid tape to build off of. Broderick plays in the PCL so competition level is generally always high. An honors society kid, Sean Broderick isn’t going to jump off the turf with his build alone, he’s going to have to win reps against great talent at camps this offseason. I believe he’s more than capable. If you see him on the trail, make sure you give him a good look, he could be an FCS-level gem.

Despite the loss, I like what I saw out of Appling, Smith, and Broderick. Offensively, it was tough to run the ball against this front, yet Tyler Yerkov saw some success throwing to the hot name in Nymeir Appling Nymeir Appling 6'2" | 185 lbs | WR Father Judge | 2024 State PA . Sometimes when things get tough, it’s best to try to get the ball to arguably your best athlete. Father Judge and Tyler Yerkov did just that. Appling’s name is a name I am throwing out to numerous colleges that are taking early looks at juniors. The kid has a catch radius way above his head. Combine that with elite body control, as well as elite DB reps, you might have yourself a top 150 prospect. I can see that kind of jump for him.
Eric Smith Eric Smith 5'10" | 190 lbs | RB Father Judge | 2024 State PA was bottled up in the run sets but had an awesome RAC that went for a score, one that was called back for a hold.
The trio will keep Father Judge in competition with pretty much every Catholic League program. Hard to blow out a team with three top-tier prospects.
