Hicks is one of several top offensive line prospects in a fantastic 2029 class. A true center, he started all season for Christ School, flashing impressive power, footwork, and the ability to climb to the second level. His snaps are solid, and he’ll likely grow a bit more, though he already has good size. We’re looking forward to continuing to scout a potentially elite interior offensive lineman.
Hicks is still growing as a player, but the early returns are intriguing, as he was a season-long starter at center and seems to have a good grasp on the mental aspect of the game. He’s a true center prospect with guard versatility who excels as a run blocker and is blossoming in the passing game. An all-conference selection, there’s a lot of potential here.
Hicks is a young center prospect who shows good technique and locked up a few bigger interior defenders. He’s still growing into his body and realizing how to use his strength, but he’s in a great position to continue to develop physically. I’m excited to follow his progression over the next few years.
It’s not often we see freshmen starting at the center position, but Hicks has done that this season for a young Christ School team. He’s getting better every week, even as he’s faced some talented older interior defenders. The biggest thing that stands out on film is his initial anchor. He fires off the ball quickly, but gets immediately to a balanced base, allowing him to drive block in the running game, or hold up in the passing game. He’s technically sound, and a guy we have squarely on our radar.
