Will Helms | Prep Redzone Scout
Lowe is one of the top tacklers in the state for one of the top teams in North Carolina. He’s quick to break downhill and improved laterally in 2024. He’s a guy we think could continue to put on muscle and improve. He’s nowhere near his ceiling, but he’s in a really good spot, heading to the next level.

Lowe has really impressed me this season and he’s a guy who could make a late move up out rankings. He’s just so productive as a tackler and complete linebacker. Lowe had 144 tackles this season, adding several forced turnovers. He plays fast and decisive, which is what has helped him have such a productive year.

I did a deep dive on Lowe just a few weeks ago and that’s partly what prompted us to move him up the rankings. He’s a bit undersized, but he’s always around the ball and doesn’t miss many tackles. Lowe’s coverage skills are really solid and allow him to be matched up one-on-one with running backs, tight ends or even slot receivers. We have an FCS grade on him which will only get stronger if he can put on another 10-20 pounds.

Lowe fits the mold of a protoypical modern-day linebacker with good coverage skills and a nose for the football. He’s not huge, but he’s got plenty of strength to take on blockers in the running game and is a sure tackler, as evidenced by his 145 stops a year ago. He’s put on a bit of weight in the offseason and if he can get into the 210-220 range, he’s going to make an FCS school extremely happy.
