Melvin is a familiar name, as his older brother is one of our favorite uncommitted seniors. The younger Melvin may have even higher upside, given his impressive size at a young age. He’s an eight-quarter varsity nose guard, and Cleveland has a plan to develop him. The strength and ability to two-gap are obvious on tape, and he could end up as one of the highest-upside defenders in the 2029 class.

Melvin already has great size and is a versatile defensive lineman, something that shouldn’t surprise anyone who has seen his brother play four or five positions. The younger Melvin has excellent upside as an interior defensive lineman. He’s playing mostly nose tackle on junior varsity and we wouldn’t be surprised to see him get a call up in the not too distant future.
