Even though he has the body of a lighter scat-back, Wright has some serious power and tackle-breaking ability. Even more important in an evolving sport, he has elite receiving upside and is a true weapon out of the backfield rather than just a checkdown and swing pass option. As he puts on more weight, we wouldn’t be surprised to see him become an every-down player, given his receiving and blocking abilities.

Wright’s size causes some to overlook him, but he’s an extremely talented running back with high-level receiving upside. Wright caught 20 passes for 252 yards last season and wasn’t simply a checkdown option out of the backfield, but a true receiving threat. He’s gaining more weight and we expect him to enter his junior season at a size that allows him to be a potential workhorse for Cary.
