On offense, Royal consistently showcases his elite speed, quickness, and exceptional hands, making him a constant threat to make big plays- his ability to create separation, change direction effortlessly, and secure difficult catches sets him apart from his opponents, he’s such a dynamic playmaker that keeps defenses on their toes all four quarters. In addition to that, Royal’s skills extend to the defensive side of the ball as well, where he shines as a DB- his strong tackling technique and exceptional ball skills enable him to disrupt passing plays and create turnovers on a routine basis. Royal had a massive year for Gulf Shores last fall that featured him recording 129 carries for 1147 yards and 24 touchdowns, 61 receptions for 876 yards and 8 touchdowns, and 39 total tackles and 2 interceptions on the year. Recently, Royal pledged his commitment to NC State, giving them a real swiss army knife in their 2024 class!

Last fall was Royal’s best season yet, and that’s saying a lot given what he’s been able to do for Gulf Shores since his freshman year. Last fall, Royal posted up 1147 rushing yards and 24 touchdowns. 61 receptions for 876 yards and 8 touchdowns. 39 total tackles (2 tackles for loss) 2 interceptions and a sack. At running back, Royal utilizes his speed to burst through gaps and break away from defenders- he has some impressive elusiveness and make you miss ability that allows him to slip through tackles and make huge plays each carry he gets. In addition to that, Royal has a great set of hands and can run routes really well- making him an super reliable target in the passing game as well. On defense, Royal’s instincts and athleticism allow him to make impactful plays as a defensive back, whether it be intercepting passes or making tackles in open space he has the ability to disrupt opposing offenses in a variety of ways.
