Highlights
Royal is a rare talent that could be a five-star at multiple positions on both sides of the ball. On the offensive end, Royal is a prototypical Debo Samuels Esque hybrid that can be a focal point of the offense as a receiver or traditional running back. In the backfield, he’s a well-balanced back with breakaway speed, vision to attack gaps/cut back lanes, and enough power to gain yardage after initial contact. As a receiver, he’s a deep threat that consistently takes the top off defenses. He can make plays on most passes thrown his way with solid tracking skills and ball adjustments. On the defensive end, he’s a corner who can create an island and use his receiver skills to make momentum-shifting interceptions. With one the better skill sets in the state, Royal is a pure baller who can dominate the game no matter where he lines up.
Offord is a talented jack of all trades who can wreck a game on both sides of the ball. The rangy A.H. Parker product uses his long strides to eat up space as a smooth strider who effortlessly glides from point A to point B. With the ball in his hand, his smooth and subtle acceleration allows him to expose gaps in opposing defenses as a receiver or wildcat quarterback and finish plays in the endzone. This dynamic playmaking range translates to the defensive end, where he’s a secondary specialist and a consistent playmaker. With excellent short distant bursts and anticipation, Offord is disruptive in the quick game and breaks up screens, slants, and shorter routes. He uses his length to press receivers, disrupts timing in routes, and swallows up the receiver’s space on vertical routes.
Jackson is one of the more impressive athletes in the 2024 class. Though he plays alongside one of the more sought out prospects ( Ronnie Royal Ronnie Royal 5'11" | 180 lbs | ATH Gulf Shores | 2024 State AL ), Jackson is well equipped to wreck a game no matter where he’s lined up. As a three-tool player, Jackson could be a 4 star at multiple positions. With the ball in his hands, Jackson is one of the most elusive runners in the state. This natural knack and instinct to make guys miss in addition to elite burst, balance, and creativity in the open field, makes him a focal point of the Gulf Shore offense and one the best return aces in the country. On the defensive end, Jackson shows tremendous motor when running down plays from opposite sidelines, making a touchdown, saving tackles, and being an assest agaisnt the run. His supberb open field tackling, ability to shred blocks on the permieter makes him a top flight saftey. Jackson is a hidden gem who will be an impact player at the next level no matter what position he choses to play.
Thomas is pound for pound, one of the best multi-positional players in the state. With solid long speed, exceptional burst, and vertical explosion, Thomas can make plays from anywhere on the field. As a receiver, he plays way above his listed size when attacking the ball in the air, snagging 50/50 balls, and dominating goal-line fades. This competitive toughness also makes him a formidable safety. Thompson is explosive on contact and isn’t afraid to get downhill and make plays on the ball. This aggressive play style generates big plays in the pass game where he can act as a ball hawk and patrol his side of field as a major pick-six threat.
