Rocco Courtad Rocco Courtad 6'1" | 260 lbs | DL Aurora | 2024 State OH ‘s next level strength as an interior offensive lineman helped power his team’s running game on a regular basis. Courtad’s work in the weightroom rewarded not just his team, but himself being named second team All-Ohio in Division III. His powerful base and mechanics made defenses struggle to stop runs between the tackles. He has quickness from the snap backed with his power made for some big hits along the line of scrimmage that Courtad regularly won. Pulls from the guard spot with low form to explode through blocks to provide big running lanes for his backs. Shifts his power forward to put linebackers on skates after contact. An excellent second level block with quickness to match linebackers. Courtad is as skilled on the defensive line as he is on the offensive line. A successful run stopper because of his speed and power, able to handle double team blocks regularly. Puts in more work than his competition working in the Lineman Lab to improve his game. Courtad holds an offer to Clarion, is a player more college coaches need to watch on film for his ability to be coached and win his assignment regularly.

A menace along the defensive line as one of the strongest run stoppers in all of Northeast Ohio, Rocco Courtad Rocco Courtad 6'1" | 260 lbs | DL Aurora | 2024 State OH has put together an offseason to watch in the gym and at camps. Aside from a dominant performance at the first Lineman Lab showcase in May, Courtad has kept his head down from all the distractions that have come in the lead up to his senior to focus on his recruitment. Earning his first offer to Clarion at the end of May, he has kept on his routine towards becoming the best player he can be. His power moves have never been in question, but he has become even more dynamic by adding impressive speed to his game. A defensive lineman with good footwork already, Courtad has become more explosive in one-on-one situations with his balanced attack. Using the power in his arms to get linemen out of his way, Courtad is as dangerous of a run stopper as you will find in the area. His camp work is second to none by putting together what he has learned on display for college coaches to see.

Arguably the strongest player at the showcase was Rocco Courtad Rocco Courtad 6'1" | 260 lbs | DL Aurora | 2024 State OH . His work in the gym is impressive on a regular basis if you follow his twitter and more importantly it is translating to his game. Courtad is a dangerous concoction of speed and elite power to be a wrecking ball on the defensive line. His quick instinct to attack where a lineman was leaning gave him a day worth talking about. Courtad’s power in the bullrush was textbook as he made several offensive linemen frustrated with his skillset. Enough can’t be said about his first step out of his stance as one of the best in the area to gain an advantage before an offensive linemen knows he’s beat. Courtad is going to make a college program very happy when he makes his college decision.

Courtad, a huge impactful player of Auroras defensive lineup pushes the boundaries in all things at the DT position. Coming in at 6’1 260, Courtad has been apart of 40+ tackles, 5 TFL’s, a forced fumble and blocked field goal, as well as many other big plays. As Courtad’s size is a plus to his playing strategy his speed and agility are a huge component allowing him to apply pressure and be dominant against opposing offenses. As Courtad is entering into the off-season I am interested to see where else he goes with these talents and watch him excel in his last season.

Rocco helped the Aurora Greenmen to an 8-win season in 2022 and advance to the 2nd round of the playoffs. He plays as a DE and DT. Against the pass, he shows good burst off the ball and good quickness to beat the OT to the inside. He shows good play speed in pursuit before finishing up with a sack. Against the run, he uses his very good play strength and use of hands as he defeats the block from the OT or OG. He quickly locates the RB and makes the tackle behind the LOS for a TFL.
