At this time last year, we were talking about running back Ritson Meyer Ritson Meyer Ritson Meyer 6'1" | 200 lbs | RB Elgin | 2026 State OK as a player that was going to have a breakout season. And he certainly lived up to all the preseason hype. Meyer would score 34 total touchdowns on the season and was an absolute workhorse at the running back position. In fact, the last time he was on the field, Meyer was carrying the ball over 40 times in the state championship game. Absolute workhorse. And it wouldn’t be surprising to see his production even go up this season. Meyer earned All State 2nd Team honors last season and he will go into this year as one of the best running backs in the state. He’s definitely the top back in Class 4A.
