Recruiting Report- Recent Offers Across the State
Nicholas Hampton is a seriously talented wide receiver/tight end who has broken out in Gulf Shores’ offense this...
“At 6’3 215, Hampton is an explosive playmaker out wide who can haul in huge catches all over the field. He has great hands, is a talented route runner, and can easily stretch the field for big plays.
Hampton is also incredibly versatile and can line up and produce in multiple spots on the field, making his impact felt at TE and WR. Look out for Hampton this fall, he has a big year ahead.”
With his size and athleticism Hampton provides a pass catching threat that’s tough for any team to match up with well. MGM will have to pay close attention to him this week- he can go up and grab anything, it’ll be important for them to slow him down early.
Nic Hampton is an eye-catcher at TE for Gulf Shores and is one of the more dynamic prospects at that position in the state, if not the most dynamic. He handles normal TE duties adequately and competes as a blocker. However, it’s his blend of size and foot quickness that is the most impressive. He has some wiggle in space with the ball in his hand and can dance around contact. Pair that with his obvious mismatch potential down the field, and you have a fun eval and a clear D1 athlete. He has several D1 offers under his belt.
Nicholas Hampton is a seriously talented wide receiver/tight end who has broken out in Gulf Shores’ offense this year. He’s had a terrific junior season, making a ton of jaw-dropping catches/plays each week, and shows no signs of slowing down. Hampton is a big, physical target- he does a great job using his 6’3 215 frame to his advantage against smaller defensive backs by winning the line of scrimmage, and overpowering defenders for catches all over the field. Paired with his size, Hampton has great speed and change of direction that allows him to do some damage after the catch. It’s seriously hard for defenders to stop him, he takes on contact really well and isn’t easily tackled in the open field. With how well he’s played this season, Hampton has seen recruitment start to open up. Just in the last few weeks, Hampton has picked up offers from Arkansas State, Liberty, and Tulane! Be sure to watch out for him going forward, he’s been a key piece of this Gulf Shores offense and won’t be going anywhere anytime soon!
