showed this season that he’s a true athlete. He impacted the game on both sides of the ball and played a significant role in Shabazz’s run to the state championship game.
Defensively, Richardson stood out at outside corner. He finished with four interceptions, 35 tackles, two tackles for loss, and 12 pass breakups. He attacked the football, showed strong ball skills, and consistently challenged receivers at the catch point. His length and awareness allowed him to take throws away on the perimeter.
At 6’2”, 175 pounds, Richardson brings size, movement skills, and athletic upside. He earned a Rutgers offer last offseason, and while his recruitment stayed quiet during the year, the tools are still obvious.
Camp and the 7-on-7 season will be vital for him. With his frame, fluidity, and production, Richardson is positioned to reassert himself as one of the top young athletes in New Jersey heading into the next recruiting cycle.

hasn’t played a varsity snap yet, but college programs already know his name. The 2028 prospect from Malcolm Shabazz stood out at the Under Armour camp, flashing the tools that make him one of the most intriguing young corners in the region. At 6-foot-1 with long arms and clean footwork, Richardson mirrors well in press and rarely panics when tested downfield.
He took on national talent like Xavier Saab and didn’t blink, showing confidence and poise well beyond his age. With head coach Nasir Gaines set to take over at Shabazz, expect Richardson to earn starting reps early and often. He’s technical, competitive, and already a problem in man coverage.
His early offer sheet backs that up—Duke, Boston College, Temple, and Charlotte have all pulled the trigger, with Penn State, Syracuse, and Pitt closely monitoring. At just 14, Richardson is on a breakout path.
