Max has taken significant strides from when I first saw him live. He reminds me of 2025 team captain Carter Kuhn. Despite the listed small size, energy and production are brought on every day. He excels at hitting gaps hard and with timing and precision. He’s got good hands and can manipulate blockers when pass rushing. If Olentangy Liberty goes on a deep run, Max will likely be a big part.

Max came on strong as the 2025 season came to a close, finishing with 8.5 sacks and 22 TFLs. Despite his listed size, Max doesn’t let himself get overwhelmed when facing bigger competition. He’s smart as a pass rusher, picking his shots on when to shoot gaps and pressure the quarterback. He’s also a core special-teamer for the Patriots. Max was someone I found as a sophomore, and his development has been fun to watch.

Max Zigo Max Zigo 5'11" | 195 lbs | DL/LB Olentangy Liberty | 2027 State OH is a starting linebacker for Olentangy Liberty. Zigo is a fast and physical linebacker and as a Class of 2027 propect has plenty of upside. At 5-foot-11, 190 pounds, Zigo is a strong special teamer who takes great angles to the ball. Zigo can rush the passer and be turned loose to shoot through gaps, and takes great angles to the quarterback.

Max is a versatile piece for the 2025 Liberty program. He’s making plays on defense as a linebacker who can line up both on and off the line, as well as a defender on kick returns. He’s a great athlete who brings energy to the defense. He has an aggressive play style. His best use has been on blitzes and in short-distance run defense. At his size, he has a lot of power and can often overwhelm offensive linemen when pursuing the ball.
