I’ve been waiting on the Kaidan breakout and I think this will be the year the state gets to know his name. He started varsity last year, but unfortunately suffered a season-ending injury in week two. His frame has improved since I first saw him at an Indy 7v7. I hope to see him showcase his route-running and ability to separate at all levels this season for the Patriots’ offense.

Kaidan is in a position to find a decent amount of playing time next season for Liberty. His work in the 7v7 scene has already been popping off this year, with wins at events and an impressive showing at the Pylon Indy event. He is growing into his frame well and will be able to play on both sides of the ball for the Patriots. I hope to see him live this upcoming year.

Schmelmer (614 ROC BOYZ 18u) got a writeup from Tyler Stevens on the defensive side of the ball, but he also caught my eye on the offensive side as well. Kaiden has good footwork and a nice release off the snap and does a great job of dropping his hips and being explosive in and out of his breaks to create separation.
