Max was a very interesting player to watch during this round of film-watching. He is a versatile player who goes 100% wherever you put him. Max primarily plays safety but also had plays where he was up near the line of scrimmage. In those plays, Van Horn showed some serious speed off the edge and was able to disrupt the play in the backfield. Max does project best as safety, displaying nice range and closing speed combined with quick instincts. He’s a very willing tackler who won’t hesitate to square up on the ball carrier.
