. Kayl’s versatility stands out immediately as he has experience at left tackle, right tackle, and left guard, and he played them all very well. Coming out of his stance, Kayl maintained consistent pad level and hip bend, which allowed him to win the leverage battles against several opponents. Thatcher has shown that if you let him gain inside leverage, he can maneuver you and drive you into the dirt with ease. Solid footwork and lateral quickness help him stay mirrored with pass rushers. Kayl possesses next-level size at 6’3″ and 280 pounds and is only getting stronger. Kearney has been pumping out some solid OL prospects in recent memory… Kayl looks like he’s got next!

caught my attention when scrolling through team Hudl rosters and seeing a 6’3″, 290 pound freshman. Kayl’s size provides the ideal measurables that coaches will look for at the next level. With graduation taking a few of last year’s starter’s Kayl could work himself into being a Day 1 starter for the Bearcats.
