. The ’27 WR checked in at 6′ 173 lbs and proceeded to dominate the combine. Max hit 4.63 in the 40, an insane 4.01 and 4.04 in the shuttle, broad jumped 9’4″ twice, and his 6.84 on the L-Drill. The De Pere product brings elite change of direction and explosive acceleration to the field. More importantly, Max translated the testing to the field. The soon-to-be senior WR was a nightmare to cover. It was effortless for him to explode off the line and eat up cushion. His speed in and out of breaks was a nightmare for DBs to try and compete with, resulting in plenty of cushion on his reps. Max’s ball skills also shined as he could high point the ball and make catches away from his body with soft hands. The ’27 WR is on an upward trajectory.
Looking at Max’s camp schedule it looks like I will get my wish and be at the Lake Show in Oshkosh on June 7th with him. The last time I saw Max he was putting together one of the best performances at the winter PRZ WI Showcase. Since then Max has seen a ton of attention from the next level including visits to the FCS and D2 levels and an offer from Bemidji State. I can’t wait to see how he has grown and improved in the six months since I’ve seen him. The 6’1″ 175 lbs athlete proved on tape that he can win vertically, does really well at finding ways to come down with the ball, and he is tough as nails. This is going to be a big summer for the WR if he can put up similar numbers to what he did back in December. Coaches I recommend getting your eyes on this WR if you will be at the same Mega Camps as him.
Max left no doubt that he is going to be one of the skill players to know in the Class of 2027. The junior provides a wide catch radius supplied by his 6’3″ wingspan. What is even more impressive is how explosive the WR is when it comes to short area movement and change of direction. It first appeared in the combine with elite numbers such as a 4.16 and 4.06 in the shuttle, a 9′ broad jump, and a 6.28 L-Drill. For being a longer athlete out wide Max is a very agile athlete. Those numbers translated to really good route running, getting in and out of breaks to open up space, accelerating instantly out of those breaks, and providing excellent hands downfield. Max understands timing and did a great job of going and getting the football instead of waiting. It was a great showing for the De Pere Redbird.

. The junior WR was heavily targeted throughout the night and Max delivered. He was able to get open quickly and early in the route thanks to his smooth route running and quickness off the line. The 2027 WR also showed some guts to go over the middle. That includes a catch at the 1 yard line where he was able to hang onto the ball while getting sandwiched between defenders. That key play would set up an early score for De Pere. The 6’1″ 175 lbs playmaker is a name to get on your boards for the Class of 2027.
