Miranda is an active, disruptive defensive lineman who can line up at tackle, edge, and nose. His highlights show him chasing plays down, showing a lot of effort. I do like his interior quickness as well. Miranda has a good get-off when attacking gaps. There’s one play where he uses an effective swim move against the center and disrupts the play in the backfield. Miranda consistently penetrates the line of scrimmage and disrupts timing.

From a pass-rush perspective, he forces hurries and pressures. In one of his highlights, Miranda closes in on the quarterback and causes a hurried throw that results in an incompletion. He doesn’t quit on plays. Against the run, he holds it down and helps clog interior run lanes.

I’d like to see more of him as a pass rusher and see what’s in his toolbox. Good first step, but I think he can work on being even more explosive. Miranda’s motor, positional flexibility, and ability to disrupt plays were major reasons he was able to play on the varsity stage as a freshman.
