This scrimmage featured quite a few notable pass catchers but when the mini games began, perhaps the best catch came from Tuttle 2024 wide receiver

as the senior went up and caught a deep ball over the middle against two defenders. The Tigers were incredibly balanced on the offensive side of the ball. But when it was time to throw the ball around, Douglas was the top target and that fits with what we know about Tuttle coming into this season. Douglas is their top playmaker at the wide receiver position. We think that the Tigers remain balanced on the offensive side of the ball this season but Douglas is primed for a really big year in terms of receiving numbers.

is one of those players at the wide receiver position. He was one of the breakout players for the Tigers last season. Coaches were excited about his potential prior to last season and he was able to be an impact player within the offense. Now, if he can take the next step as a playmaker and become even more productive, the Tuttle offense will have a chance to be pretty special. Douglas will look to improve his stats in all three receiving categories.

In fact, in terms of players that are strictly wide receivers in this offense, Douglas ended up being the top guy with six catches for 54 yards and a touchdown late in the fourth quarter on fourth down. Douglas only had one catch for 15 yards at halftime. But with Tuttle’s receiver group struggling throughout the game, quarterback
