Manny is a great young quarterback with a lot of potential. The 5-foot-11, 155-pound gunslinger is very mobile, making plays with his legs, buying time with his feet and pulling the trigger with his quick release. Patterson can make tough throws with defenders in his face, and is a legitimate dual-threat who can run.

The quarterback spot for Massillon is wide open, and I think Patterson can fill that void. Patterson has an aggressive drop back and can get the ball out quick. He wants to stetch the field vertically and can generate power through good body motion. He is accurate on sideline balls and can be very effective down in the redzone. With their defeat in the regional final last season, Massillon could look to reload and come back with Patterson at the helm.

Don’t let Patterson’s slight frame fool you. He can rip it. Mandwel has the ability to throw to all 3 levels. He has the arm strength and accuracy to throw a nice deep ball. He has the quick release and velocity to throw slants and timing routes and that can move the ball in the intermediate game. As he continues to develop physically and get stronger, I can’t wait to see how his game continues to evolve and improve. The future is really bright for Patterson.
