Shows the ability to bounce around piles. Drives his shoulders through defenders, breaks tackles, and falls forward. Solid short-yardage runner. Adjusts to the errant throw as a pass catcher out of the backfield and grabs the ball in stride. Displays eye/hand coordination. Possesses blocking vision, squares into defenders, and picks up the blitz.

Walton’s High School standout Junior running back is an absolute beast. Bodiford stands 6-foot tall and weighs in at 205 pounds. Bodiford is a playmaker; with his quickness and speed he has the ability to make the first person miss. This season he rushed for 1,110 yards and 15 TDs. He displays toughness at the end of his runs, proving that he does not shy away from contact. He shows great patience and lateral movement to set up his blocks to gain positive yards. Because of his size, he is impressively fast as you can see him separating from defenders on long runs. This kid has a bright future.

Bodiford is in the middle of his first season with Walton, and he has helped create one of the most explosive offenses in the state this season. He has run the ball exceptionally well, as expected. Still, I believe he shows tons of promise as a receiver and is something that we will see come along in the final stretch of the season. Bodiford has great size, and still has another season to develop. I expect Bodiford to start rising up recruiting boards soon, and I think his versatility will be on full display during the second half of the season.
