Maclain stepped it up in his junior season as he tallied 32 tackles, nine TFLs, three sacks, and a fumble recovery. The Silver Hawks have some exciting talent on their defensive line, including up-and-coming freshman Maclain Milius Maclain Milius 6'4" | 240 lbs | DL Lincoln Southwest | 2027 State NE . Maclain moved up to varsity this past season and is in line for a promising role in year 2. He’s a very lengthy player at 6’4″ and has a solid reach to help him create separation on the edge. He uses great hand placement, which can turn violent when it’s time to disengage from blocks. Milius also played on the offensive line for the Silver Hawks and held his own against some of the top D-linemen in Class A. There were still some learning moments on the OL for Maclain, but overall, he flashed a great skillset with a ton of potential. He uses his leverage very well and has the strength to overpower defenders at the point of attack. The sky is the limit for Maclain, especially as he continues to fill out his frame and develop.
